Are you Eligible?
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Be at least 18 years old (17 years old with parental consent)
- For the Paid Education programs — you may be 16 years old (with parental consent)
- For the Primary Reserves—you may be 16 years old (with parental consent) and must be enrolled as a full-time student.
Have completed at least Grade 10 or 24 credits of Secondary IV in Quebec (some jobs need higher levels of education)
- If you have completed your education outside Canada, you must have your Educational Credential Assessments (ECAs) completed for your high school and highest level of education prior to submitting your application.

Flexible Work Hours
At 38 Signal Regiment, we understand the importance of work-life balance. That’s why we offer flexible work hours to ensure our members can balance their civilian careers, personal lives, and their service to their country. As a reservist, you are expected to train every Tuesday evening and at least one weekend every month. We encourage our members to attend 100% of these exercises, but we understand that life can get in the way. Our courses vary in length and are tailored to each specific type of training.
Full-Time Summer Employment
Join us at 38 Signal Regiment for a fulfilling summer of work. For your first five years, we offer a guaranteed four-month contract of full-time employment. You will have the opportunity to work on various tasks such as course-taking, providing general administrative support or supporting other workplaces. Our contract is flexible and can be adjusted to suit your needs, ensuring you have a productive and rewarding summer experience.
